About

Jules Wolfson is a Danish music producer, songwriter and founder of Nexus Music. Since 2001, he has played a central role in shaping contemporary Danish pop, working with artists, record labels and songwriters.

As a producer and songwriter, he is behind multi-platinum albums and number-one singles by Nik & Jay, Joey Moe, Cisilia and many others. As a record-label executive, he has built creative teams, launched artists in Europe and the United States and led projects with more than a billion streams.

Selected milestones

  • 2001 Founded Nexus Music in Copenhagen.
  • Mid-2000s Breakthrough with Nik & Jay: multi-platinum albums, more than a million records sold and several Danish Music Awards, establishing the duo among Danish pop's defining acts.
  • Late 2000s Reached the US Billboard charts while continuing to develop Joey Moe's career.
  • 2010s Produced and developed major Danish pop releases with Nik & Jay, Joey Moe, Burhan G, Clemens and Cisilia, winning Danish Music Awards and earning gold and platinum certifications.
  • 2020s Expanded internationally through work with producers including Timbaland and DaHeala, while developing new Danish artists such as Svea S, whose releases have already earned gold and platinum certifications.

My story

I thought I was going to be a rapper.

It quickly turned out that I was more interested in creating the music than being onstage myself.

The story began with a rap group in a basement, homemade demo CDs and a tiny studio in Birkerød. Then came Vanløse, Nik & Jay, Nexus, Atlanta, Los Angeles and a new generation of artists.

I would rather the music became famous than me.
